Agreed! There is more wrong with the whole academic publishing gig than I can start to rant about. I suppose there has to be some investment, somewhere up the line, to develop the infrastructures to manage the stuff online, but you'd think there would be enough talent in-house to find a more democratic and productive way to disseminate research. What's the point of writing the stuff if no one can read it?
