Interesting info Judy, and as you say lots of analysis to do :)
Just for my info, did the kids start with an idea of a storyline before they began with the NWN game? Or did they develop the story at the same time as they explored the NWN game?
We have tried both with mixed results - what have you noticed during this project?

Hi Kim,

I think most of the kids developed their stories alongside exploring the toolset. They started work on character planning a few days before their first toolset session by creating collage-base pictures of a fantasy character, but I don't think they were explicitly asked to think about storylines until after they'd started to use the toolset.

A couple of them did mention some story ideas during the first session, but I think they'd come up with them independently.
